SMX Social 2012 is
shaping up to be a social marketers dream conference. The agenda has everything
a social marketer needs to propel them into success in 2013: Analytics,
messaging, content and a strategy that will meet social media and SEO agendas.
Starting it all off is the In-house
Social Media Exchange, December 4.
This all-day closed-door workshop is a unique in-house only event with an open-the-Kimono culture. This is where in-house social marketers openly and candidly discuss problems, trade tips, and share war stories from inside the trenches with your newest allies, at the convention and after. You know your troubles can be unique, delicate and just plain frustrating, so why not discuss them with the industry’s leading in-house social marketers who understand your world?
Learn from the likes of Google, Adobe and Caesar’s palace. Roundtable discussions let you dig deep into specific topics. Fireside chats with speakers lend themselves to real answers for your burning questions. No matter what challenge you face, someone in the room has overcome it.

Need to ask a Googler
something specific? Consider it Done.
Carolyn McCarthy, a former CNET blogger turned Google Social
Media Guru, reached out to us to speak. When we talked about what she had in
mind we landed on asking the attendees rather than something we cook up on our
own. That’s right…it’s an attendee-sourced conversation.
Before Google, Caroline authored CNET's "The Social" blog for 5 years, covering a smattering of digital media, social networking, marketing, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Now she works with Google's business marketing team, helping brands find new ways to connect with communities on Google+.
Wondering how social
and SEO mix? Check it off the list.
Also leading up the panels and discussions is Adobe’s Manager
of Global SEO, Dave Lloyd. At Adobe,
Dave leads a global team delivering organic search strategy and has some
interesting data for attendees related to social. As part of Global Demand
Generation, his team delivers on KPI-driven results including worldwide
software trials, sales leads, and revenue metrics. In his prior role at Cisco,
he oversaw Global SEO Strategy for all Enterprise products. He is
Google-certified, with 10 years in Search Marketing, and a Business degree from
U.C. Davis.

Curious how the “Big
Boys” make it look easy? Bring a big pad
of paper for notes.
They say, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Well,
that might be true, unless it is the inside secrets that make Caesars Palace a
Las Vegas hot spot.
Our third speaker/panelist is none other then Vegas’s very own Director of New Media at Caesars Entertainment, Eric Petersen. Eric has been in the digital marketing space for the past six years, after completing study at the University of Southern California. All that hard work paid off, because today he is responsible for developing the social media and mobile marketing strategies for the 40 plus casino resorts Caesars Entertainment runs nationwide.
You could sit in a vacuum and brainstorm your 2013 roadmap, or you can attend the In-house Social Media Exchange and learn what other companies are doing and take your social media marketing to the next level.
