Why are you excited to contribute to the in-house SEO Exchange?
Janet: “The new insights and new process, those things I learned through trial and error, mostly error. Things that might not occur to the new SEO manager within an enterprise level program or large corporation – new challenges each year.”
Ulli: “I have been an in-house SEO for 8 years, 3 years in a mid-size company and 5 years in two enterprise-size companies. In each role, I was the first and only in-house SEO focusing on all aspects of SEO - from high-level strategies to implementing details of the how-tos. My goal is to share these insights with other SEOs, so they get on a speed track to success.”
John: “As in-house SEOs, we are positioned to create massive value for our companies through SEO. This is not without its challenges! I am excited to share what has worked for me and discuss ways to overcome some of our biggest problems.”
What are some of the important tactics or strategies that you'll help people learn?
Janet: “The importance of project management, specifically YOU the SEO manager, must become more proficient at managing your SEO projects that include many internal business units. Working with a global team and educational schedules/planning.”
Ulli: “I want to help people learn how to make a case for resource, get comfortable with traffic estimates/impact, and how to get SEO early into the development process.”
John: “First, using business cases to get your SEO projects to the front of the roadmap. Also, I want to talk about using the concept of triage to produce massive SEO results in the shortest time possible. Finally I hope to share the importance of establishing trust - nothing happens without it.”
